MCP server
Google Chat
Read and post in your organisation's Google Chat spaces from inside Claude.
No terminal neededOfficial
Published by the company that makes the product.
What it can access
Uses your own Google sign-in (OAuth 2.0); can read and post in Chat spaces you personally already belong to.
Security note
Same official, Google-hosted, permission-inheriting pattern as the Drive server above. Treat anything it can read as visible to everyone else who can already see that Chat space.
Before you start
A Claude plan that includes Connectors: Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise have them, the free plan does not, as of our last check. And a Google account signed in on this computer.
How to install
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
- Find “Google Chat”, or click “Add connector” and search for it.
- Click Connect. A Google sign-in window opens.
- Read the list of permissions Google shows you. Click Allow only if you recognise every item on it.
How to remove it
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, find “Google Chat”, and click Disconnect.
- Then go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, find “Claude”, and remove its access there. Disconnecting inside Claude does not revoke it on Google’s side.
