MCP server
Google Slides
Let an AI client edit a copied presentation while keeping images, speaker notes, and sharing under human control.
Published by the company that makes the product.
What it can access
OAuth inherits access to presentations and can allow edits.
Security note
Developer Preview. Use a copied deck with public images. Inspect names, figures, speaker notes, reading order, and image rights before export.
Do you need it?
Use it for a repeated deck-production workflow. For one presentation, a template in Slides or Canva is usually easier to review.
Capability and permissions
OAuth can expose slide text, images, speaker notes, and metadata, and can allow edits to presentations the connected user can access.
Least-privilege setup
As of 2026-09-01, Google calls Workspace MCP servers Developer Preview. Use a workshop account and a copy of a public deck. Remove real contacts, notes, comments, and identifiable images before connecting.
Harmless success test
Ask the client to add one final slide labelled TEST to the copied deck. Confirm no other slide, note, or file changed.
Disable, revoke, remove
Disconnect the server, revoke Google Account access, remove the workshop account from the deck, and delete the test copy.
When not to connect
Do not connect a deck with unconsented photos, private donor information, unreleased strategy, or speaker notes that should not leave the team.
