Slack
Read and post in your organisation's Slack channels from inside Claude.
No terminal neededOfficial
Published by the company that makes the product.
What it can access
Uses a Slack Bot token you create and scope yourself to specific channels via Slack's own app-permission settings.
Security note
Featured in Claude's own official plugin directory (claude.com/plugins), so it met Anthropic's review bar for that listing. Invite the bot only into channels you intend Claude to see, and never a channel used for sensitive source coordination.
Before you start
Your organisation already uses Slack, and you have a Claude.ai account. Scoping the connection to specific channels is easier with your Slack admin’s help, but it is not required.
How to install
- Open claude.com/plugins in a web browser and sign in to Claude.
- Search for “Slack” and click Install.
- A Slack sign-in window opens. Choose your workspace, then choose exactly which channels Claude may see. Never a channel used to coordinate with a source.
- Click Allow.
How to remove it
- Open claude.com/plugins, find “Slack” under your installed plugins, and click Remove.
- Ask your Slack workspace admin to also remove the “Claude” app from Slack’s App Management page, so the connection closes on Slack’s side too.
