What may go into it: Only after identifying details are removed

Remove names, contact details, exact addresses and anything else that identifies a person before you paste. If the job cannot be done once those are gone, use a controlled route instead.

Fill in the blanks

Type into each box. The prompt on this page fills itself in as you type, and the highlighted parts show where your words land. Nothing you type here leaves your phone or computer until you copy the prompt or open a tool with it.

The prompt

Answer in [ANSWER LANGUAGE], even if the material below is in another language.

I have eight minutes on a board agenda. Read the report below and write what the board needs, not a summary of the report.

Rules:
1. Use only the report below. Add nothing from your own knowledge.
2. Every point names the page it rests on. A point with no page is removed, not kept.
3. Quote the report's own wording for anything a board member could dispute.
4. Copy every figure exactly as printed, including mixed digits: ١٢٣ alongside 123.
5. Do not soften and do not dramatise. Short sentences only.

Give me, in this order:
A. The three decisions this board must actually take, one line each, with the page each rests on and what happens if it is delayed.
B. The two risks the report itself names, quoted, each with its page.
C. What the report does not answer that a board will ask, as three questions.
D. One slide of numbers: at most six figures, each with a label and its page.

Report:
[PASTE THE REPORT]

Opens a new chat in that tool with this prompt already typed in. Fill in every box first, and read the line at the top about what may go into it.

15 minutes · Gives you short sections · Works on a phone · How much to paste at once: Paste about fifteen pages at a time, ask for A to D on each part, then paste those answers back in for one final set. If every page number falls in the first third of the report, the rest was cut off.

Read the answer against the checks below before you use it in anything that leaves your organisation.

What to fill in

  • [ANSWER LANGUAGE]. Name the language you want the answer in, for example Arabic, Kurdish or English.
  • [PASTE THE REPORT]. Remove names and identifying details first unless the report is already published.

Before you trust the answer

  1. Open the report at three of the pages given. If one page does not carry the point, discard the answer and redo it on a smaller piece.
  2. Section A is a proposal, not a decision. Rewrite the three lines in your own words before they reach the agenda.
  3. Check all six figures in section D against the report yourself. A tool that reads well still copies numbers wrong.

When it goes wrong

It will present a finding as a decision the board was never asked to take, with a page number that belongs to a different paragraph.
