Turn a week of headlines into a digest
Groups a pile of published items into themes, merges the duplicates, and marks every claim that only one outlet is making.
What may go into it: Public or invented material only
The prompt
Answer in [ANSWER LANGUAGE], even if the material below is in another language. Below is a list of published items from this week: headline, outlet, date, and a link or a short extract for each. Rules: 1. Use only the items below. Add no background from your own knowledge. 2. Group them into themes. Name each theme in plain words. 3. Merge items that report the same event into one line, and list every outlet that reported it. If two outlets contradict each other, keep both versions in that line and write CONTRADICTION. 4. Mark SINGLE SOURCE where only one outlet reports something. 5. Dates may arrive in mixed digits: ١٢٣ alongside 123. Copy each date as it appears in the item. 6. Do not judge whether a claim is true. If an item does not say who or when, write "the item does not say". Give me, in this order: A. The themes, most reported first. Under each theme, one line per item: what is claimed, which outlet, what date. B. Everything marked SINGLE SOURCE or CONTRADICTION, as one list. C. What is missing: which of these stories has no follow-up, and which claims nobody has answered. D. Five lines a colleague could read aloud in a meeting. Items: [PASTE THE ITEMS]

15 minutes · Gives you short sections · Works on a phone · How much to paste at once: Paste fifteen to twenty items per message, with a short extract rather than the whole article. If the last theme stops mid line, or items you pasted never appear, it was cut off. Send the rest as a second batch and ask for the two lists to be joined.
Read the answer against the checks below before you use it in anything that leaves your organisation.
What to fill in
- [ANSWER LANGUAGE]: one digest can come back in one language even when the items are in three.
- [PASTE THE ITEMS]. Published material only. Nothing internal, nothing from a closed group.
- Keep the outlet and the date on every item. Without them, section A cannot be checked.
Before you trust the answer
- Open the link for everything in section B before repeating it anywhere.
- A digest is a map of what was said, not of what happened.
- If the model added background you did not paste, that is an invention. Delete it and say so in the next prompt.
When it goes wrong
It will smooth two contradictory reports into one confident line and drop the SINGLE SOURCE mark, so one outlet’s claim reads as confirmed by every outlet in the line.
