What may go into it: Public or invented material only

Paste nothing that is not already published, or that you did not invent for the test. This prompt is written so it never needs your own sensitive material.

Fill in the blanks

Type into each box. The prompt on this page fills itself in as you type, and the highlighted parts show where your words land. Nothing you type here leaves your phone or computer until you copy the prompt or open a tool with it.

The prompt

Answer in [ANSWER LANGUAGE], even if the material below is in another language.

Write three posts about the finding below: one in Arabic, one in Kurdish Sorani, one in English. Use only what I give you. Write your headings and your notes in the language named above. Each of the three posts stays in its own language.

The finding, in one sentence: [WRITE IT]
The figure, exactly as it must appear: [COPY IT, WITH ITS UNIT AND ITS PERIOD]
Where the figure comes from: [OUR PUBLISHED REPORT, ITS DATE, ITS PAGE]
The one ask: [THE ONE ACTION YOU WANT, AND WHO IT IS ADDRESSED TO]
What we have not established: [ANYTHING WE CANNOT SHOW]

Rules:
1. Copy the figure into all three posts exactly as I wrote it: same digits, same unit, same period. Never write it in words. Never round it. Do not turn 123 into ١٢٣ or ١٢٣ into 123 (mixed digits: ١٢٣ alongside 123).
2. The same single ask in all three posts. Do not add a second one.
3. Do not add a cause and do not overstate. If we have not shown why, no post explains why, and no post uses adjectives like unprecedented, shocking or historic.
4. Write each post so it reads naturally in its own language. Do not translate one post word for word into the next.
5. If a language has no natural short form for a term, write the term in full and say so in section D. Never invent a word.
6. Keep each post under 240 characters. Count the characters of each post and print the count beside it. If you are not certain of a count, say so instead of guessing.

Give me, in this order:
A. The three posts, in this order: Arabic, Kurdish Sorani, English. Label each one with its language and its character count, and put nothing else in this section.
B. The figure as it appears in each of the three posts, on three lines, so I can compare them at a glance.
C. Every sentence that needs sign-off before posting, quoted, and the role that should sign it.
D. Anything you could not say naturally: a term with no short form in one language, digits you would have written differently, a line you were unsure of.

Opens a new chat in that tool with this prompt already typed in. Fill in every box first, and read the line at the top about what may go into it.

15 minutes · Gives you a message to send · Works on a phone · How much to paste at once: Paste one finding at a time, a short paragraph at most. If one of the three posts is missing, or the answer stops before section D, it was cut off: ask for the missing section on its own.

Read the answer against the checks below before you use it in anything that leaves your organisation.

What to fill in

  • [ANSWER LANGUAGE] on the first line: the language you want the headings and the notes in. The three posts stay Arabic, Kurdish Sorani and English whatever you put there.
  • The finding in one sentence, with nothing in it you cannot show.
  • [COPY IT, WITH ITS UNIT AND ITS PERIOD], character for character from the published report, and the page it is on.
  • The one ask: one action, and who it is addressed to.
  • [ANYTHING WE CANNOT SHOW], so none of the three posts can claim it.

Before you trust the answer

  1. Compare the three lines in section B with the figure in your published report. Three posts are three chances to publish a different number.
  2. Ask a colleague who writes in Arabic and one who writes in Sorani to read their own post before it goes out. A post that reads as a translation is answered as a translation.
  3. Nothing is posted until the sentences in section C are signed off.

When it goes wrong

When it goes wrong, one of the three posts carries the figure rounded or in the other digits (mixed digits: ١٢٣ alongside 123), so one finding appears as three different numbers on three accounts.
